05th Uttar Pradesh State Throws & Jumps Competition-2026 will be held at “Prayagraj” on 18th & 19th February 2026. The Championships will be organized by Uttar Pradesh Athletics Association.
The Championships and events will be organized in accordance with the Rules of Athletics Federation of India and Competition & Technical Rules 2024 Edition of World Athletics & Indian Athletics Manual (updated
as on 01.10.2020).
The SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) issued by Athletics Federation of India & Government of Uttar Pradesh and Government of India should be followed for hosting this State Athletics Championships.

The details of the Championships are as follows:

1. The competition will be organized in Men, Women, Under 20 Years (Boys and Girls), and Under 18 Years (Boys and Girls) categories.

2. The teams representing the "Affiliated District Athletics Associations" and "Affiliated Sports Boards/Institutions" will enter in this competition. Note: Entries only through UPAA Units. No Individuals.

3. Composition of Entries: 

● Men, Women, U20 & U18 Boys, Girls Each Affiliated Unit can enter maximum 06 Athletes.

4. Events:
Throwing Events for Men & Women, Boys & Girls 20 Years:
(a) Shot Put (b) Discus Throw (c) Hammer Throw (d) Javelin Throw
Throwing Events for Boys & Girls 18 Years:
(a) Shot Put (b) Discus Throw (c) Javelin Throw
Jumping Events for Men & Women, Boys & Girls 20 Years:
(a) High Jump (b) Long Jump (c) Triple Jump (d) Pole Vault
Jumping Events for Men & Women, Boys & Girls 18 Years:
(a) High Jump (b) Long Jump
For Throws Competition:
● An athlete should be below 20 years and 18 years as the case may be, on 08.03.2026. The following age groups will facilitate the junior athletes to send the entry in the appropriate age group:
Under 20 Years - Born between 09.03.2006 & 08.03.2008
Under 18 Years - Born between 09.03.2008 & 08.03.2010
● An athlete should be below 20 years and 18 years as the case may be, on 15.03.2026. The following age groups will facilitate the junior athletes to send the entry in the appropriate age group:
Under 20 Years - Born between 16.03.2006 & 15.03.2008
Under 18 Years - Born between 16.03.2008 & 15.03.2010
• The First, Second & Third place winners of all the event will be awarded Medals. The Meritcertificates will be issued only after receiving the Report of "Age Verification Committee".
• Participation certificates will be issued ONLINE over athlete’s AFI UID account after all verifications.

7. Procedure for Sending Entries:

● The entries should be submitted "ONLINE" on AFI Website (WWW.INDIANATHLETICS.IN) by the Affiliated Units/Sports Boards. Entries sent by the mode other than "ONLINE" will not be accepted.
● USER ID & PASSWORD is already available with every unit.
● Last date for receipt of Entries is 17th February 2026.

8. Competition Fees:

The details of Competition fees is INR 500/- per head.

9. Eligibility Criteria for Junior Athlete:

• Certificate of Matriculation/High School/Higher Secondary class issued by a recognized Board of State Government or Central Government.
• Birth Certificate from the Birth & Death Registration Office of Municipal Corporation/Nagar Mahapalika / Village or Gram Panchayat & School Leaving Certificate, if he or she is drop out.
• Birth Certificate from the Municipal Corporation/Nagar Mahapalika / Village or Gram Panchayat, if he or she has not gone to school at all.
The members of UPAA Age Verification Committee will verify the Age of Junior athletes at venue of Competition.
Junior Athletes, who do not produce the proof of date of birth as mentioned above, will not be allowed to participate.

11. BIB Numbers:

BIB nos. will be issued to concerned Athletes two hours before their event at the Entry Gate of Stadium after showing their valid Photo – ID card.
