“54^th U. P. STATE ANNUAL JUNIOR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020 (U20 Years)” (For U-20 Men & Women) shall be organized  as per following details:  

CHAMPIONSHIPS:        54^th U. P. STATE ANNUAL JUNIOR  ATHLETICS  CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020.

DATE :                         13^th & 15^th MARCH 2020. (FRIDAY  &  SUNDAY)

VENUE:                        Madan Mohan Malviya Sports Stadium PRAYAGRAJ.

GROUPS & EVENTS:    The list of Groups and Events are given below:

U-20 * MEN & WOMEN (Below 20 years as on 8^th APRIL 2020)   

Athletes born in the Years 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004.

MEN: 100m., 200m., 400m., 800m., 1500m., 3000m., 5000m. 110m. Hurdles (0.991 m.), 400m. Hurdles (0.914 m.), 3000m. Steeplechase (0.914 m.), High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put (6.000kg.), Discus Throw (1.750kg.), Hammer Throw (6.000kg.), Javelin Throw (800g.), 4x100m.Relay, 4x400m. Relay & 10,000m. Race Walk = Total 21 events.

WOMEN: 100m., 200m., 400m., 800m., 1500m., 3000m., 5000m., 100m. Hurdles (0.838 m.), 400m. Hurdles (0.762 m.), 3000m. Steeplechase (0.762 m.), High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put (4.000kg.), Discus Throw (1.000kg.), Hammer Throw (4.000kg.), Javelin Throw (600g.), 4x100m.Relay & 4x400m. Relay & 10,000m. Race Walk = Total 21 events.

Common:  4x400m. MIXED RELAY (Two U 20 Men & U20 Women in any format)

TECHNICAL:                 This State Championship will be organised in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of Athletics Federation of India and IAAF * Competition Rules 2020 - 2021. In case of any dispute the decision of the UPAA Technical Committee will be final and abiding on all.

PRIZES:                       MERIT CERTIFICATES & MEDALS to each first three winners.

TROPHIES for TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS – For U 20 - MEN & WOMEN Groups & OVERALL.

BEST ATHLETE in BOTH GROUPS.

PARTICIPATION:          Only affiliated Units of UPAA and registered Athletes will be allowed to enter.

ENTRIES:                     The “ENTRY” will be accepted ONLY, which is duly verified by the Secretary of the District Associations/UNITS. REPEAT: APPROVED by the SECRETARY of the affiliated UNITS Only.  Last date of sending Entry is on Saturday i.e. 10^th March 2020 (Tuesday).

AGE * DATE of BIRTH: The Athletes who are born on or after 8^th April 2000 and in the years 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004 are only eligible to enter in this State Championships. Each Athlete must carry any of the following Birth Certificates, in original with him/her for the purpose of Age Verification:

a)     X standard Certificate from recognized Central / State Education Board.

b)    Birth Certificate from Municipality / Corporation issued only within two years of birth and school leaving Certificate.

c)     Birth Certificate from Municipality / Corporation, issued only within two years of birth in case of Athletes, who have not gone to School at all.

d)    Radiology Certificate by CMO of District Headquarter. (Format is enclosed)

FLAGS:                        Please bring or send Two FLAGS of your unit for ceremonial purposes

PLACE OF STAY:         The Teams are requested to make their own arrangements for the Boarding & Lodging at Prayagraj.

The Uttar Pradesh U 20 Men & Women will be selected on the basis of an athlete’s performance during this State Athletics Championships. The U.P. Team will participate in “18^th Federation Cup National Junior Athletics Championships 2020”, scheduled to be held at BHOPAL (M.P.) from 6^th to 8^th April 2020.

This National Championships will be the final trial for selection and participation of Indian Athletes in 19^th Asian Junior Athletics Championships 2020  to be held at Bangkok from 14^th to 17^th May 2020. It may also be noted that athletes born in 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004 will only be considered for selection in Indian Team and athletes born in the year 2000 will not be considered for selection.
