Dear Sirs,

 

It is my pleasure to inform you that the “50^th U.P. STATE “B” ANNUAL ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016”, (Boys & Girls below 16 & 14 years) shall be organized by the Lucknow District Athletics Association under the auspices of U.P. Athletics Association. The details of the Championships are given below:  

CHAMPIONSHIPS:       50^th  U. P. STATE  “B” ANNUAL  ATHLETICS  CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016.

DATE :                         3^rd & 4^th SEPTEMBER 2016  {SATURDAY & SUNDAY)

VENUE:                        ATHLETICS STADIUM, Guru Gobind Singh Sports College, Kursi Road, LUCKNOW.

GROUPS & EVENTS:   (1) Boys – 16 years, (2) Boys – 14 years, (3) Girls – 16 years & (4) Girls - 14 years.

The list of events is enclosed herewith in the Rules – Technical Conduct. 

TECHNICAL:               This State Championship will be organised in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of Athletics Federation of India. In case of any dispute the decision of the UPAA Technical Committee will be final and abiding on all.

PRIZES:                       MERIT CERTIFICATES & MEDALS to each first three winners.

TROPHIES for TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS & BEST ATHLETE in ALL GROUPS.

PARTICIPATION:         Only affiliated Units of UPAA and registered Athletes will be allowed to enter.

ENTRIES:                    The athletes who qualify the minimum standards fixed by UPAA will be allowed to enter . Therefore “ENTRY” will be accepted ONLY in the enclosed “Entry-Form”, duly signed by the Secretary of the UNITS. REPEAT: SIGNED by the SECRETARY of the affiliated UNITS Only. The Entry-Form must reach to undersigned latest by Wed.Day i.e. 31^st August 2016.

                                    The information of the Teams strength and arrival/departure schedule must be sent to undersigned latest by 31^st August 2016 (Wed.day)

PLACE of STAY:         The unfurnished accommodation will be available inside the G.G.S. Sports College Lucknow. The Teams are requested to report at G.G.S. Sports College, Kursi Road, Lucknow, in the evening of 2^nd September 2016 and not before that. The place of stay will be available up to late evening of 4^th September 2016..  Since the climate in Lucknow may be hot & humid during the Championships, the participants are requested to bring the “Bedding / Bed-sheet” etc. for their comfort.

BIB  NUMBERS:          The Bib numbers to the bonafide Entries will be issued at 5.00 p.m. on 2^nd September 2016 in the office of the Athletics Stadium. The Competition Fees of Rupees One Hundred per athlete will be collected at the time of distribution of Bib numbers.

FLAGS:                        Please bring or send Two FLAGS of your unit for ceremonial purposes.

PROGRAMME:            02/09/2016)      2.00 pm onwards:         Registration of All the athletes.

03/09/2016)      7.30 am:                       Assembly of athletes & Officials.           

Saturday)         8.00 am:                       INUGURATION CEREMONY.

                                                            8.30 am to 4.00 pm:      Track & Field events.   

04/09/2016)      5.30 am to 1.45 pm:     Track & Field events.

Sunday)            1.45 pm:                       MEDAL AWARD CEREMONIES & PRIZE DISTRIBUTION.

                        2.15 pm:                       CLOSING CEREMONY.

IMPORTANT:               The “ENTRIES” will not be accepted without the approval and signatures of the Secretary of the affiliated DAA/Unit in any circumstances whatsoever it may be.

1.         GROUPS:         BOYS  &, GIRLS - below 16 & 14 years.  

 

2.         EVENTS:          BOYS (16 Years) 100m., 200m., 400m., 800m., 2,000m., 100m. Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump

                                             Shot Put, Discus Throw, Hammer Throw, Javelin Throw, Medlay Relay, Pentathlon & 5,000m. Race Walking.

                                             =  Total 15 events.

GIRLS (16 Years) 100m., 200m., 400m., 800m., 2,000m., 100m. Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump

                                             Shot Put, Discus Throw,, Javelin Throw, Medlay Relay, Pentathlon & 3,000m. Race Walking.

                                             =  Total 14 events.

                                             BOYS (14 Years) 100m., 800m., Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put & Trithlon ₌ Total   6 events.

                                             GIRLS (14 Years) 100m., 800m., Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put & Trithlon ₌ Total  6 events.

 

3.         TRACK & FIELD:  400 mts.Synthetic Track with One ARENA each for FIELD EVENTS.

 

4.         TECHNICAL CONDUCT: In accordance with AFI Rules & Regulations.

   (IAAF – Competition Rules 2016 – 2017)  

 

5.         ENTRIES:                   

v  The athletes who qualify minimum standards of participation, will only be allowed to enter in this Championships. Hence the Teams are required to fill up all the columns of the Entry Form.

v  Each Team can enter maximum TWO Athletes in each event except Relay Races where FOUR Athletes may be entered.

v  An Athlete can enter in TWO INDIVIDUAL events and ONE Relay event. 

v  Running Shoes or Athletics Shoes are compulsory for participating in this Athletics Championships.

v  The entry will be accepted only in the Entry Form sent earlier. All the columns of the Entry Form must be filled in capital letters.

v  The Competition Fees of Rupees One Hundred per athlete will be collected during the distribution of Bib-Numbers.

 

6.         CHAMPIONSHIPS,  PRIZES & AWARDS:

MEDALS & DIPLOMAS:

v  INDIVIDUAL:    BEST THREE INDIVIDUAL WINNERS - in each event.

v  BEST Athlete:   BEST ATHLETE on POINT BASIS in EACH GROUP.

v  TEAM:              BEST TEAM - It will be Champion team in all groups separately on Point basis.

v  OVER ALL:       BEST TEAM - Overall Championship on Point Basis in Male & Female groups.

v  PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATE will be issued only to the athletes who qualify the standards of participation.

 

7.         BIB  NUMBERS:  The Bib Numbers to the bonafied entries will be issued at 5.00 pm on 2^nd September
