Invitation: The U. P. State Seminar / Workshop on “Doping” & “Technical Aspects” in Modern Athletics, is being organised by U. P. Athletics Association in association with Athletics Federation of India. The Seminar / workshop will be organized in Auditorium “Pluto” of Indira Pratishthan, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, LUCKNOW on 5^th February 2012 (Sunday). The Seminar aims to discuss the latest developments and updated version on “Doping Menace”. The Workshop will deal with “Technical aspects” of officiating in Modern Athletics. This will deal the interpretation of latest changes in Rules & Regulations of Athletics updated by International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF)

Programme:The Doping Seminar will be held in Two Sessions comprising of plenary lectures by experts in dealing with “Doping” issues. This will be followed by presentation by expert delegates from NADA (National Anti Doping Agency) & AFI (Athletics Federation of India). The scope of Seminar is designed adequately to cover the wider issues and aims to cover all aspects of “Doping”. The Participants/Delegates will have ample opportunity to exchange ideas and update their knowledge bank by discussion. The Experts will share their presentation by distributing their papers in printed form also. This will enable the Participants/Delegates to carry sufficient literature with them for their record.

The Workshop on “Technical Aspects” will also be held in two sessions comprising of Lectures by Experts in this field. The audio visual presentation will provide an opportunity to experience the latest developments in Athletics officiating. The workshop will deal with the implementation of latest changes in Rules and Regulations on the background of “Competition Rules” of IAAF. The interpretation of Rules is an area which will be dealt with Experts in very practical manner. The organizers are also making an effort to share the latest publications of IAAF with all the Participants /Delegates.

General Inforfmation:It is a great pleasure for us to extend the invitation and hearty welcome to the members of Olympic family in general and Athletics fraternity in particular of our State. We also invite the Delegates/Speakers who wish to present their papers in the Seminar. They are requested to submit their abstract papers latest by 20^th JANUARY 2012 to the office of U. P. Athletics Association.

 Lucknow, the Capital city of Uttar Pradesh is a historical old city of Nawabs. The courtesy and culture has its roots deeply implanted in the citizens of Lucknow. The Indira Pratishthan, Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar is the venue of the Seminar which is ideally located in recently developed Lucknow. The ambience and the inside decor will certainly attract the visitors who visit Lucknow for the Seminar. The venue is about 8 Kms. from Charbagh Railway Station and very well connected by road transport. The delegates attending the Seminar may be provided transport on request, if informed well in advance. The accommodation may be arranged on payment, at the Guest House in the nearby area, if informed latest by 25^th JANUARY 2012. Lucknow during January has cold weather. The night and day temperature ranges between 10⁰ to 25⁰ C.

Last date for request of transport & Accommodation:       02nd FEBRUARY 2012

 Registration:All the Participants / Delegates will be required to register for the Seminar / Workshop until 31^st December 2011. The Registration will cover the hospitality during the Seminar and each participant will be entitled to receive the Athletics (IAAF) & NADA publications with adequate stationary.

IAAF level.1.Examination of 6^th.Batch at Chennai.

The Athletics Federation of India has agreed for the conduct of pending IAAF LEVEL 1.TOECS Examination of last year-2010 for the passed FTOGS examination of Hyderadab Batch no.6. as the list of candidates enclosed below. This Examination will be conducted with the usual examination system of IAAF as it was conducted earlier for five batches by IAAF nominated examiners like Mr.C.K.Valson,Chief. Co-ordinator of this IAAF examination, Dr.Tony Danial and Mr.R.K.Nair. The followings are the information’s for the candidates and it is advise to confirm your participation before December.15.2011 to undersigned positively and also to Mr.C.K.Valson.CFTC.

1.     The Examination dates are from December.20^th. to 23.th. 2011.Chennai (TN)

2.     .All Selected candidates must report before December.20. in the forenoon.

3.     The Boarding & Lodging will be provided on the payment of Rs.2000/- by the candidates at White Park Hotel just opposite to J.N. Stadium. Chennai.

            For Men, Junior Men, Women & Junior Women:  Each Team can enter maximum SIX Athletes and only FOUR Athletes will score for Team Championships.

 For Boys & Girls below 18 & 16 years:  Each Team can enter maximum FOUR Athletes.

 5.         CHAMPIONSHIPS,  PRIZES & AWARDS:

            PRIZES

v  INDIVIDUAL:                 BEST THREE INDIVIDUAL WINNERS - in each RACE.

v  TEAM:                          BEST TEAM - on Point basis will be the Champion team.

v  TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:This will be worked out only in Men, Junior Men, Women & Junior Women group for best FOUR scoring Athletes.

v  OVER ALL:                   BEST TEAM - winning Overall Championship on Point Basis.     

CERTIFICATES:                      

v  BEST SIX INDIVIDUAL ATHLETES will be awarded “DIPLOMA CERTIFICATE” in each RACE.

v  The ATHLTES who actually participate in the Cross Country Races will be awarded “SOUVENIR CERTIFICATE in each RACE. 

 5.        AGE  VERIFICATION:The Junior Athletes are required to bring with them original Xth standard Certificate from the recognised Central / State Education Board Athletes who have not gone to school at all, are required to bring the Original Birth Certificate from the concerned Government / Municipal Authorities. Athletes, who are drop outs, should bring Original Birth Certificate and also Certificate showing date of Birth from the School, he/she last attended. Junior athletes, who do not produce the proof of Date of Birth, as mentioned above, will not be allowed to participate.

 6.         LAST DATE of ENTRIES:  The last date of entries is 1^st DECEMBER 2011.

7.         BIB  NUMBERS:  The Bib Numbers to the bonafied Entries will be issued at 6.00 p.m. on 2^nd DECEMBER 2011 in the Office of DAA AZAMGARH.

OUT OF 54 MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL COUNCIL 45 MEMBERS ATTENDED THE MEETING. THE HOUSE APPROVED THE AGENDA PROPOSED BY THE Hony SECRETARY Sri P K SRIVASTAVA AND UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED Sri P K SRIVASATAVA TO FORM THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF UPAA WITH CONSENT OF Sri FATEH BAHADUR SINGH {IAS}.
